Well, I survived. And I’m feeling pretty okay. The first few days were rough, and I was a little scared, but I’m typing again, and that’s something.
The first day, I couldn’t feel anything from the elbow down until right before I went to bed. My fingers were incredibly stiff the second day and I couldn’t move my hand around much. The pain was bearable, but I was mostly frustrated with my limited mobility.
TMI, but going to the bathroom without the use of your dominant hand is a little hard.
Today is five days post surgery. My wrist aches and I can’t bend my hand very far. A lot of bruising. But I can do most things again and I am optimistic about the rest of the week to get better each day.
My favorite thing has been that I can hold a pen and write without my fingers cramping up. Even with the pain in my wrist, it’s been amazing.
That’s all for today. Check back Thursday for a post about productivity.
