So, over the next few weeks you’ll notice a shift in how I update my blog. Instead of memes on Tuesday, I’m going to share a general update on my writing and a few of the goals I’ve set for myself that week. Thursday will continue to be my normal entry with a short story or retail rant, and I’ll include an image on that post instead. Saturday posts I’m still unsure about. I think I want to share articles or podcast episodes that I’ve found enjoyable that week, but I’m not sure just yet.
If you have any input, I’d be happy to hear it. Seeing as how I write this blog to entertain, I’d like to know what you all find entertaining.
Now, for this week, I have some general goals;
For my upcoming release, I am working on promotion on social media and looking into marketing channels. I am also getting the formatting done for D2D and Kobo
On my nonfiction project, I am researching tips on how to self-edit. Nonfiction is a different beast, and this was my first attempt at it, so I hope it turns out okay.
My next fiction release, due in November, I’m finishing up the developmental edits this month. I have three more chapters to map out this week and then it’s on to fixing and rewriting the scenes.
And finally, the current writing project. I have set myself a weekly word goal of 1600 words and this week is no different. With that weekly count, I should have the first draft finished by the end of this year.
In case anyone is interested in joining my mailing list, you can follow this link and you will receive two prequel scenes for Until I Wake and you’ll meet the two main characters. And a reminder that Until I Wake is up for preorder right now and scheduled for release on July 31st.
That’s all for today. Come back Thursday to hear about the wonderful books I devoured last month.
