*I struggled a little coming up with a story for these cards. Sorry in advance if it’s a little cheesy. But I hope you enjoy it anyway! :)*

Day 1

I spent twenty minutes staring in the mirror today. I pinched my fat and jiggled my belly and I cried. I am disgusting. Today I’m making a change. I need to lose weight. This has gone on too long. I just need to find out how to do this. No diet has ever worked for me. It’s so hard.

Day 5

I hired a trainer today. Probably the best decision I ever made. She’s so nice and supportive. She believes I can get down to my goal weight as long as I am willing to put in the work. I’m so willing! I want to fit into my old clothes again. I want to not be self-conscious just walking down the street.

She wrote out a diet plan for me that seems super easy! And it doesn’t look like I have to starve myself. I can even indulge in sweets now and then. That’s always been the toughest part. Once I try to cut out junk food, it seems to be the only thing I want to eat, and I lack self-control. But this time it will work. It has to work.

Day 8

Who knew there were so many fun ways to exercise? I hate cardio. I can’t run for very long, and I don’t like the way I look when I do it. But guess what else counts as cardio? Dancing! And I can do that in the privacy of my living room. None of my neighbors can see me sweating and breathing hard.

Day 12

This is amazing! I’ve already lost five pounds. I’ve never seen results this fast before. And it’s all thanks to my phenomenal trainer. She’s so kind and supportive. I would have given up if it wasn’t for her checking in on me, even on the days we don’t meet up. She keeps me on track with my diet and gives me extra tips on how to stay active when I’m at work. It’s great.

Day 18

Ten pounds down! My pants are loose on me now and I’m going to try on some of my old clothes later to check on that progress. Who would have thought I’d fall in love with exercising? I dance every day. Sometimes more than once! It’s so fun and makes me feel good when I can hit all the points on the routine without being reminded. The confidence I’ve been feeling has been so refreshing.

Day 25

I’ve plateaued. My trainer says now we need to make another change. My body is too used to the work we’ve been doing, and it’s time for something new. Weightlifting sounds hard, but she swears she can make it perfect for me. We’ve been searching my house for items I can use instead of buying expensive hand weights. You don’t really think about how heavy a bag of sugar is until you’ve lifted over your head twenty times in a row.  She’s so creative. I love it.

Day 30

Oh my goodness, I never thought I’d feel so light on my feet. I’m down 15 pounds, but I look so much better. My old pants almost fit again! I didn’t realize before that I always stared at the ground when I went to the grocery store, but today I looked so many people in the eye and I guess I’m radiating happiness because they all smiled back at me. This is amazing. I can’t wait to see how far I can get.
