Turkey Day

            HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

So, first we’ll be cheesy and I’ll talk about what I’m thankful for. There are the obvious ones of my health and my family and my home, of course; always thankful for those things. Then we have work. I’m thankful to have a job that allows me to live my life with minimal stress. And boyfriend’s job and health and the health of our children. And also, you readers, I’m very grateful for all of you. All of you that read my rambles from week to week, I wouldn’t still be here posting if it wasn’t for you.

As we go into the holiday season and think about the months to come, I’m already planning for the new year. I have so many things I want to accomplish in 2021 that I know I’m capable of. I put out my first book this year, and next year I want to up my game. I’d like to have a non-fiction book ready by March with my methods and what I’ve learned from others compiled into one straightforward document and then share it with everyone. I know I’m not some famous author, but I’ve read so many books on craft from authors I’d never heard of before, so I figured at least one person out there could gain something from what I have to offer. And my next book, I hope to have out by May. It’s in the editing process now, but since I’ve hammered out what my process is with my first book, it shouldn’t be too difficult to reach that deadline. I’m also taking another leap and hope to start my author newsletter in the new year. I have no idea what to talk about yet, so I would appreciate any input in that area. But everywhere I look I see, “have an e-mail list” and “start a newsletter”! So, I thought I’d better get on that. Ha.

One of the most important things I’ve learned through all of this is that you have to work for what you want. Dreaming and having goals is good and all, but if you never make moves to achieve them, they’ll never become a reality. I took my life into my own hands and have worked hard to achieve my goals. And now it’s time to make bigger goals and achieve those too. You can do anything in life as long as you set your mind to it and have a good plan to bring it about. I pride myself in being organized and being a listy person, so it makes it all that much easier when I can make my step-by-step plan and follow through.

Anyway, I think that’s enough rambles for today. Thank you all again for sticking around through my hot mess, and I hope you’re all having a glorious holiday.
