Tip Your Delivery Driver


It was a normal Tuesday when Melissa ordered Taco Bell for a late-night snack. Her roommate, Felicia, popped her head out of her room and her eyes were lit up in anticipation. Melissa laughed and shook her head.

“What do you want? The potato taco?” Melissa opened her food delivery app on her phone and began clicking the several items that were her regular.

Felicia skipped to the couch and snuggled up next to her. “One of those. And some chips and nacho cheese. And a cherry Pepsi.”

Melissa raised an eyebrow.

“I’ll send you the money!” She rushed back to her room to grab her phone. A moment later, the notification that she’d received ten dollars scrolled across the top of the screen. “Did you get it?” Felicia yelled from her room.

“Yes!” Melissa shook her head again and completed the order. “It’ll be here in about fifteen minutes.”

The second the order dropped into the order pool, Jason clicked accept. He shifted his car into drive and pulled forward into the Taco Bell drive through line from where he’d been waiting in front of the restaurant. This was the way he usually made his money. Late night munchie runs. He could generally accept two or three in a row and rake in the tips with one round trip.
